We may see the HP TouchPad in the next few weeks. PreCentral got its hands on QuickSpecs sheet for the tablet today. The spec sheet is what the company passes out to business customers and resellers, with quick easy-to-reference information about the tablet. What’s interesting about this QuickSpecs sheet is that it has a date on the bottom -June 12, 2011.
We heard rumors back in March that the TouchPad would be hitting retailers in June. The 10-inch version of the tablet showed up on a sales sheet for a major retailer priced at $499-$599 depending on hard drive size. The June 12th release date would put the tablet right on target for hitting that June deadline. The 7-inch version of the TouchPad was also on the leaked sales sheet, with a TBD price and September release date.
Are any of you waiting for the HP TouchPad?

Sony's New PS3 7.1 Surround wireless headset

Sony has just announced the newest addition to their Playstation accessory line up: the official wireless headset. The unit looks simply elegant with its plain, black finish and minimalist design. More than that, though, it appears to be packing the right tech at the right price.

The official wireless PS headset will sell for $99. It will offer 7.1 surround sound and a retractable microphone that, if Sony’s blog post about it is to be believed, delivers crystal clear voice chat.

On several sites, I’ve been the guy that sees the latest and greatest gaming headphones. I have a stack of them in my room now that rivals my collection of paint cans, old sports equipment and terrible board games. With that in mind, one of the chief concerns I’ve always had with gaming headsets is the level of form and comfort that they provide. Gamers, especially the ones considering headsets like these, can sit for hours on end while playing a game; it’s essential that the set doesn’t hurt, pinch or overheat your ears during that time.

But Sony makes mention of that factor as well. These headphones were designed “with comfort in mind for hours of gameplay…” Well, exactly. If their right, then this accessory is hard to pass on. Most wireless headphones in the 7.1 surround category will run you around $200. For $99, an officially licensed unit that’s been designed to match your gaming equipment sounds really, really nice.

With that said, nothing sells or kills a pair of headphones like their audio quality. Sony will have had to build these with great sound drive in mind in order to fulfill the aural experience most gamers are looking for. At 7.1 surround, the headphones absolutely must deliver crisp highs, a balanced mid-range and booming lows. Playing today’s games on anything less than that cheats the user out of a great experience.

The official wireless headset hits stores in September of this year. But the questions is will it blend?

Logitech Tablet Accesories

Logitech is trying to brinf a new expansion to todays tablets by bringing in some accessories the can make a tablet subsitute your everday portable computer.  What is known untill now that a keyboars, speaker and mouse will be released for the Ipad and Android Tablets and can be conected via Bluetooth.

Starting lets talk about the keyboard.  We know that there are alot of keyboards made for the iPad that also can be connected via Bluetooth as well as one that apple has designed.  But the Wireless Logitech keyboard has a cover that can double as a stand.  From the pictures it seems that the keyboard looks very slim, compact and very portable although it lacks a physical number pad.

It should be released in May for about 69.99$ and there should be other Keyboards for Android tablets which are expected to be released at the same time and have the same price.

Also there will be a Bluetooth speaker release for tablets which should not be that bad.  There were previous ones but I think that this is not too bad of an idea.  It has a 50 foot opertating distance which can be usefull if you are looking to move around with  you tablet. It should be released in June for about 99.99$.

Last but not least is the Bluetooth mouse  for tablets which make us think a bit how will be used on a tablet.  Since a tablet is completely touch screen a person wonders a bit on how will he use it.  Will it work like on a Computer or what.  The only way to know is wait for it to be released and go and see if it lives up to a person's expectations or will it  just leave you frustrated for the money you spent on that mouse.  It should be availavailable soon for 49.99$.

Anyways this will be great for the tablets since all these accessories are looking ultra portable and easy to use but is Logitech trying to kill the real reason tablets are made for?
